Richland Hills Christian CHurch is a:
Christian Church--We desire to be known as Christians without ever suggesting that we are the only Christians. Our name honors Jesus the Christ, our Savior and Lord.
New Testament Church--Our desire is to teach no more and no less than what the New Testament teaches. We aim to live the life the New Testament calls for and practice what the New Testament directs. While we honor and read the whole Bible, we believe the Old Testament must be understood in the light of the New Testament.
Free Church--We believe that a church is a congregation of people who are committed to Christ and his purposes. As an independent, non-denomination-al congregation, we select our own leaders and determine our own policies. At the same time, we seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, understand the teachings of the Bible, and learn from the wisdom and experiences of other believers.
Caring Church--Our aim is to be a warm and open fellowship where new-comers find a welcome, the hurting find comfort, the lonely find companion-ship, the seeking find faith, and sinners find forgiveness. Our goal is to be a joyous family of Christ-followers that lives to serve one another and our neighbors.
Frequently heard in our gatherings:
No creed but Christ; no book but the Bible; no law but love.
In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things love.
We are Christians only, but not the only Christians.
Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we are silent.
