Laboring Together

Pastor Evan Taylor • January 18, 2022

During our service on Sunday (see sermon), Shelly Chattin helped to drive home the message of our “Laboring Together” series by charging each one of us to take time each day this week to pray about ways the Lord might be leading us to further give of our time and our talents in service of the ministries of RHCC.

There are numerous ways to serve, but one particular need at this time is joining the rotation to disciple children of all ages during Sunday School (before the service) and/or to disciple the younger children on the Sundays we have Children’s Church during the sermon.

For all of you who are already sacrificially giving of your time and your talents to the ministries of this church, thank you so much! This does not go unnoticed!

For all of you who are providentially hindered from being able to serve in person, please know that we are grateful for the ways you are finding to join in this gospel partnership, such as through the phone calls you make to minister and keep in touch with your fellow church members. Most of all, we thank you for the way you sacrifice of your time to diligently pray for the Lord to bless this congregation. We cherish your prayers!

Let us all commit to pray each day this week:

  1. for the Lord to lead each of us in how we can be “making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16),

  2. for “the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest,” for “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Luke 10:2),

  3. for the Lord to bless our outreach efforts by filling our classrooms and our sanctuary on Sunday mornings, especially our children’s wing,

  4. for the Lord to bring great fruit from every good work, especially the fruit of conversions, and

  5. for the Lord to lead each of us in discerning to what degree we need to be sacrificially giving, not just of our time and our talents, but of our treasures.

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Evan
